Landlord Tenant

landlordTenantAs a landlord many disputes with your tenants may arise.  To help prevent these disputes make sure you:
  • Screen tenants – check credit history, references, and background
  • Get everything in writing – include lease and rental agreement
  • Handle security deposits properly
  • Make repairs
  • Provide secure premises
  • Provide notice before entering

As a tenant if your application to rent an apartment or property is rejected, you have the right to know why.  It is illegal for a landlord to refuse your rental application for discriminatory reasons, such as:

  • Race
  • Color
  • Religion
  • Sex
  • National origin
  • Age
  • Mental disability

If you need help or information for any landlord/tenant dispute contact our experienced attorneys for a consultation.
